The International Theatre Festival Kontakt will take place from 29 May to 5 June 2026. Ahead of us is the jubilee 30th edition of an event that, for more than three decades, has brought some of the most important artists in world theatre to Toruń.

To mark this anniversary, we would like to give the floor to the audience members who have helped shape the history of Kontakt over the years.

Kontakt is the oldest international theatre festival in Poland. Organised by the Wilam Horzyca Theatre in Toruń since 1991, it was founded by Krystyna Meissner, winner of the Polityka Passport Award.

For years, the Festival has been one of the most important meeting places for Polish and international theatre.

During each edition, Toruń becomes a space for intense encounters: performances, talks, workshops, concerts and accompanying events.
